Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Building Services team on a hybrid basis, with opportunities across diverse sectors from residential to regeneration. You will lead mechanical designs from concept through to completion, collaborating with clients and design teams to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient solutions.

The role focuses on HVAC, public health systems, energy modelling, SAP calculations and coordination across multiple

Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Strong mechanical design experience in Building Services.
Experience with AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
IES modelling experience desirable.
Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Design HVAC and mechanical and public health systems incl. calculations, specs, drawings.
Produce drawings using AutoCAD; Revit knowledge beneficial.
Perform energy modelling and Part L/compliance tasks.
Complete SAP calculations and EPCs for dwellings.
Support projects from concept to detailed design and coordination.
Carry out site surveys and report on existing installations.
Assist with contract administration during construction.
Witnessing and commissioning activities during handover.
Coordinate with clients, architects and design teams to deliver solutions.
