Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its Birmingham office within a growing building services team. You will contribute to HVAC and mechanical design across healthcare, commercial and education sectors.

The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for progression, with exposure to low-carbon design and building performance projects; you will collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically strong solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Knowledge of industry software such as Hevacomp, IES, Revit or AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A desire to progress professionally towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of mechanical building services designs from concept to detail.
• Produce HVAC and mechanical design calculations and documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, BIM and sustainability teams.
• Attend client, design team and site meetings.
• Assist with low-carbon and net-zero design strategies.
