Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd, a Birmingham-based building services consultancy, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The role offers hybrid working flexibility and the chance to work on healthcare, commercial, education, residential and public-sector projects across a dynamic range of clients.

You will support the delivery of mechanical designs from concept through to construction, assist with calculations and technical assessments, prepare drawings and specifications, and

Qualifications

• Professional experience in mechanical engineering or building services.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Some HVAC and mechanical building services design experience.
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Hevacomp or IES.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of mechanical building services across projects.
• Assist with mechanical design calculations and technical assessments.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documentation.
• Support senior engineers with project delivery.
• Coordinate with electrical, BIM and sustainability teams.
• Attend client, design team and site meetings.
• Contribute to projects across healthcare, commercial, residential, education and public sectors.
• Develop knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon building design.
