Job summary

RGB in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our building services team on a permanent basis. The role involves leading mechanical design across healthcare, education, residential, commercial and public sector schemes, with a strong emphasis on HVAC and project delivery.

The successful candidate will oversee drawings and calculations, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires strong HVAC knowledge and ability to design across multiple sectors.
• Proficient with relevant design software and codes.
• Chartered status or progression toward Chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Leader on selected projects and guide junior staff.
• Produce mechanical drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects on time.
