Job summary

BakerHicks in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineer–Mechanical Services to lead design and delivery of mechanical building services on medium-size projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with current standards.

A professional registration (CEng/IEng or Chartered status) is preferred and client-facing responsibilities are expected. The role offers the opportunity to advance technical skills within a supportive, inclusive team

Qualifications

• Membership of CIBSE or equivalent and working towards Chartered status.
• Experience delivering mechanical building services on medium-size projects.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and liaise with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and consultancy under project leadership.
• Produce design deliverables, including drawings and reports, and support site surveys.
• Check calculations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, buildable solutions.
• Prepare enquiry plans, tender reviews and change controls as required.
