Job summary

Talentmark is recruiting for a Scientist / Senior Scientist Mass Spectrometry near Manchester on a permanent basis. The role focuses on developing LC-MS-based targeted assays for clinical lab deployment within a precision medicine setting.

You will work with the Mass Spectrometry Technical Lead to maintain and calibrate LC-MS/MS systems, develop biomarkers, and ensure robust QC processes while collaborating with management and the technical team to schedule analyses and parallelize projects for

Qualifications

• PhD in proteomics or related field required.
• Hands-on experience with high-end LC-MS/MS systems including calibration, maintenance and QC reporting.
• Experience analyzing LC-MS/MS data with vendor software and troubleshooting issues.
• Experience developing targeted MS methods on triple quadrupole instruments.
• Experience in GLP or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate LC-MS/MS systems; prepare buffers and QC samples.
• Analyze clinical samples to identify biomarkers for drugs of interest.
• Develop targeted LC-MS methods on a triple quadrupole MS.
• Assist with cell line stocks and sample generation for method development.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance and resolve malfunctions.
