Job summary

LGC ASSURE Sports & Specialised Analytical Services in Fordham invites a Senior Scientist to join our Innovation team to develop new methods and deliver innovative solutions using LC-MS technologies. You will design, optimise, and validate LC-MS based workflows, interpret complex data, and support customers and internal teams with robust analytical solutions within ISO 17025 compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry, has hands-on experience in analytical laboratories, and can

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific field.
• Experience in busy analytical laboratory environments, preferably commercial.
• Strong practical experience with LC-MS instrumentation, including method development and validation.
• Experience developing extraction methods and sample preparation workflows.
• Knowledge of chromatography techniques and analytical method validation principles.
• Clear communication of scientific findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and validate analytical methods with LC-MS-based workflows.
• Design and develop extraction approaches and sample preparation techniques.
• Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and optimise LC-MS instrumentation for high-quality data.
• Analyse complex data and support decision-making with insights.
• Support innovation projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Produce technical reports, validation summaries, and project updates.
• Present findings to internal teams and external customers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and ISO 17025 compliance.
