Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is seeking a Complex Marine Claims Lead to join its growing claims team. You will manage your own caseload of marine claims and act as the technical point of referral for complex, contentious matters, delivering proactive support for clients across the globe.

You will work closely with broking teams and an international network, partnering with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Marine claims role within insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience managing a caseload and handling complex or contentious claims.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills with senior clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for the technical and strategic management of complex and potentially contentious Marine claims.
• Oversee a panel of experts to provide tailored support and drive results.
• Develop proposals to support clients through challenging claim submissions.
• Develop preventative strategies for difficult submissions.
• Act as the Marine complex claims referral point across lines of business.
• Enhance the technical knowledge of the claims and broking teams.
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to resolve complex queries.
• Use claims metrics and trend analysis to inform advice.
• Ensure claims service meets quality standards and SLAs.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
