Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre. You will manage people, plan the future direction, and provide hands‑on technical support to improve quality, scrap reduction, cost, and cycle time.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in structured problem‑solving methodologies, such as 8D and PPS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers, setting priorities and allocating resources.
• Oversee manufacturing processes from Job 1 onwards, using data to prioritise improvements in quality, scrap, cost, and cycle time.
• Own the engineering change process for manufacturing and ensure controlled implementation of changes.
• Provide manufacturing engineering consultation during product introduction for process capability and production readiness.
• Report team progress, project status, risks and KPIs to stakeholders.
