Job summary

Rathbones is seeking a Senior Finance professional to lead the Group consolidation and external financial reporting for a complex organisation. You will drive the monthly consolidation, annual and interim reporting, and work with stakeholders to present content for reports.

You will manage the consolidation team, strengthen internal controls, and pursue process improvements while maintaining a robust control environment in a hybrid UK setting (Leeds/London/Liverpool).

Qualifications

• Strong experience in financial reporting within a complex organisation.
• Proven consolidation experience and group reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience with structured project-management approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly group consolidation and oversee journals.
• Coordinate annual and interim reporting processes and presentations.
• Prepare monthly Group and subsidiary balance sheets and income statements.
• Prepare various Deferred Tax schedules before handover to the tax team.
• Own and maintain the finance relationship with the group reporting software provider.
• Manage and develop the consolidation team.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders within and external to Financial Control.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and strengthen the control environment.
• Lead on ad hoc projects.
