Job summary

SRM Recruitment is seeking a technically strong Group Reporting Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role owns the core consolidation process and the delivery of the group's consolidated financial statements.

Hybrid work with 2–3 days in the office. ACA qualification (or equivalent), ideally trained in a Big 4 firm, with experience in IFRS/UK GAAP, audits, intercompany accounting, and process improvements.

• Drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting templates.

The Opportunity

A technically strong Group Reporting Manager is required for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will own the core building block of the finance function: the delivery and integrity of the group's consolidated financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Group Consolidations: Drive the core consolidation process and take full ownership of producing robust, accurate consolidated financial statements across group entities.


• Audit Preparation & Management: Lead audit readiness initiatives, building clean audit trails and managing key relationships with external auditors.


• Intercompany & Debt Accounting: Oversee intercompany balances, loan agreements, and complex intercompany reconciliations across the structure.


• Technical Accounting Leadership: Serve as a technical point of contact for complex accounting treatments under UK GAAP/IFRS, ensuring compliance and best practices across financial reporting.


• Process Improvement: Continuously refine internal controls, reporting templates, and consolidation workflows to enhance reporting efficiency.

Key Candidate Criteria

• Qualification: ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally ACA trained within a Big 4 firm.


• Technical Expertise: Exceptional technical accounting capabilities with proven experience in complex group consolidations, statutory reporting, and audit lead activities.


• Intercompany Management: Strong proficiency in managing intercompany loan agreements, structural debt balances, and multi-entity eliminations.


• Flexibility: Comfortable working in a flexible hybrid setup, balancing focused remote work with 2 to 3 days per week in the office.
