Job summary

Kingston College's Creative Industries Centre is seeking a Senior Support Technician to provide high-quality ICT support and ensure the availability of ICT systems, services and telephony across the College Group, with a particular focus on supporting Mac systems.

You'll provide 2nd and 3rd line ICT support, investigate escalated issues and oversee the day-to-day work of Support Technicians, ensuring appropriate technical support is available across college sites and that procedures and

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Detailed experience of Microsoft Office
• Strong experience in computer hardware/software installation
• Experience with audio-visual technology
• Experience with printer technology
• Experience diagnosing issues in a PC/Mac environment
• Understanding of Apple macOS and Microsoft/Apple system management tools
• Knowledge or experience of network technologies, Active Directory, network topologies and services, wireless technologies, LAN/WAN concepts and Unix/Linux advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line ICT support and investigate escalated issues
• Oversee day-to-day work of Support Technicians and ensure standards are followed
• Support end-user IT equipment including desktop and mobile devices, AV equipment and printers
• Install, configure and maintain PC and Mac hardware and software
• Assist with managing user accounts and IT equipment
