Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical on a major life sciences project in London. The role focuses on managing commercial aspects, procurement, cost reporting and profitability across multi-disciplinary packages.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience with main contracts (JCT/NEC), a strong MEPH understanding, and the ability to lead a team while working closely with project teams to maximise value and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects as a surveyor with understanding of main contracts (JCT, NEC).
• Strong cost control and value management skills.
• Knowledge of MEPH services and how packages are broken out with interfaces.
• Proactive, collaborative, able to lead others and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial resources to maximise gross margin through contract placement and control.
• Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews and order production.
• Valuing and measuring change, project progress and issuing monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Managing risk and opportunity reporting and driving profitability.
• Leading and mentoring commercial staff and fostering collaboration.
