Job summary

Parkinson Gray Associates, Leeds-based specialists in mechanical and electrical building services recruitment, requires an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join its Leeds operation.

You'll manage the commercial delivery of M&E projects, control costs, prepare valuations, interim applications, variations and final accounts, and work with project teams to maximise value and minimise commercial risk.

Qualifications

• Experience working with mechanical and/or electrical building services installations.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a building services contractor is essential.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage contractual/financial risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of mechanical and electrical building services projects from award to final account.
• Prepare interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments, valuations and payments.
• Identify, price and agree variations and additional works.
• Monitor expenditure, forecast costs and report on financial performance.
• Review contractual documentation for compliance and negotiate final accounts.
