Job summary

Andy File Associates Limited is recruiting an experienced M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management of projects across the business. The role reports to the Commercial Manager and focuses on cost control, contract compliance and financial performance from £2M–£15M projects.

Based in Leeds or Sheffield, the successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors and the commercial team to protect profitability and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Essential M&E projects experience.
• Degree accredited by or conversion to RICS in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage cost and risk.
• Experience with subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and payments.
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, negotiations and appointment of subcontractors with project managers.
• Prepare subcontract orders and ensure proper contractual documentation.
• Value completed works, prepare applications for payment and valuations.
• Ensure client applications for payment are accurate and timely.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and monthly P&L for variances.
• Provide commercial updates in project review meetings.
