Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Commercial Manager (M&E) to oversee commercial performance across mechanical and electrical projects in Birmingham and to lead the commercial team with a sharp focus on cost control and margin protection.

You will manage NEC and JCT contracts, variations and claims, produce CVRs and forecasts, oversee subcontract procurement, and report to senior leadership. The role requires strong influential communication with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS in M&E contracting or building services.
• Strong NEC and JCT contract knowledge.
• Proven ability to improve project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activities across M&E projects with cost control and margin protection.
• Manage NEC/JCT contracts, variations, claims, and changes.
• Produce CVRs, forecasts, and financial reports for leadership.
• Oversee subcontract procurement and supply chain management.
• Work with project managers to ensure commercial compliance and timely delivery.
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
