Job summary

BTG Eddissons is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Building Services Engineer to drive engineering, refurbishment, decarbonisation, and building improvement projects across the UK.

You will apply technical expertise across a range of services, from feasibility and condition surveys to design, specification, and lifecycle planning, in close collaboration with surveyors, project managers and sustainability consultants.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering M&E building services projects in consultancy, property, construction, or engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
• Experience undertaking technical surveys, inspections, and condition assessments.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, reports, and recommendations.
• Understanding of current UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent report-writing and client-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform M&E condition surveys and inspections.
• Produce engineering reports and lifecycle assessments.
• Develop specifications for refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Review system performance and identify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Support decarbonisation and energy-efficiency strategies.
• Attend client meetings and present technical recommendations.
• Manage technical project delivery from concept to completion.
