Job summary

Align Property Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead complex electrical design, surveys, and project management for diverse building projects in the region.

You will mentor junior colleagues, manage contracts and ensure compliance with CDM regulations while delivering high‑quality designs across RIBA stages. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• A degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering.
• Substantial experience in a senior engineering role.
• Commitment to professional development, ideally MCIBSE.
• Confidence in conducting electrical surveys, defect analysis, and feasibility reporting.
• High‑quality electrical designs and documentation across RIBA stages.
• Supportive leader to mentor colleagues while working across disciplines.
• Oversee site installations and ensure compliance with NEC/JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations, fire safety, and sustainability principles.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of services including building pathology, design, project management and contract administration.
• Produce early design advice through to detailed electrical services design.
• Mentor junior team members and guide project delivery.
• Conduct electrical condition surveys and manage design from concept to detail.
• Deliver cost‑effective, safe solutions meeting client expectations.
