Job summary

DP World in Minworth is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a major customer operation with around 300 colleagues across multiple shifts. You will drive performance, customer satisfaction and operational excellence, reporting to the Plant Manager and working closely with a key automotive customer to ensure outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large operational teams in logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
• Experience using performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Budget management and resource planning experience.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements in operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large operational team across multiple shifts, ensuring engagement and high performance.
• Provide direct leadership to Shift Managers and specialist teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, exceeding service expectations.
• Develop resource and manpower plans to meet operational needs with cost discipline.
• Drive a culture of health, safety, quality and compliance across the operation.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Support strategic objectives and translate goals into actionable plans.
• Manage supplier and agency relationships for service delivery and contract compliance.
• Lead performance management activities including coaching, absences, investigations and disciplinary processes.
