Job summary

DP World in Hinckley is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee site operations, delegate on-shift tasks and tackle problems during weekly rotating shifts.

You will lead safety and environmental compliance, drive process improvements, and represent the department in meetings with customers while monitoring KPI delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong data analysis, and the ability to coach staff toward a zero-tolerance stance for deviation; onsite and full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a fast-paced logistics operation.
• Proven leadership with strong integrity and decision making.
• Ability to analyse data and monitor performance metrics.
• Experience implementing process improvements and CI.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations and delegate tasks to the team.
• Investigate safety incidents and enforce HSE procedures.
• Identify corrective actions to meet KPIs and improve processes.
• Represent the department at meetings and communicate shift performance.
• Manage manpower and apply lean principles; drive CI activity.
• Develop and maintain Standard Work; coach staff to standards.
• Drive training needs and document completion.
• Support proposals with KPIs, process flows and layouts.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategy and hiring levels.
• Ensure onboarding and focus on retention.
