Job summary

MHA is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator at Reuben Manor, Stockton-on-Tees, to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents. You will collaborate with staff, families and volunteers to promote engagement, independence and a sense of purpose.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, budget awareness and use of IT tools to help residents stay connected. It is a full-time position supporting a caring, values-led team at the care home.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
• Ability to design and deliver group and individual activities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Confidence with IT tools to support residents.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver a programme of activities based on residents' social needs.
• Promote wellbeing through engaging, inclusive activities.
• Help residents access IT options to stay connected with family and friends.
• Liaise with workers, relatives, volunteers, and community organisations to coordinate events.
• Keep accurate records of activities, attendance and outcomes to support care plans.
• Review and adapt activities programmes to changing needs and preferences.
• Support colleagues and contribute to induction of new staff where appropriate.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of activity resources and stay within budget.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety policies at all times.
• Attend training and development sessions, possibly involving travel to other MHA locations.
