Job summary

MHA's Reuben Manor in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to enhance residents' wellbeing by planning, delivering and reviewing engaging activities that meet social, physical and emotional needs.

Working with colleagues, families and community groups, you will support residents to stay connected via IT, keep accurate records, and help create a caring, inclusive daily programme. This is a permanent full-time role at 38.5 hours per week with a salary of £13.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• You will have a genuine passion for improving the lives of older people through meaningful engagement.
• You will be able to design and deliver group and individual activities that motivate and inspire participation.
• You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• You will possess excellent communication and listening skills.
• You will be confident using IT tools and supporting residents in using them.
• You will be able to work flexibly, as part of a team and independently.
• You will have a positive attitude towards training, personal development and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver a programme of activities based on residents' social needs.
• Promote wellbeing through engaging and inclusive activities.
• Support residents in accessing IT options to stay connected.
• Liaise with staff, relatives, volunteers and community organisations.
• Keep records of activities, attendance and outcomes for care plans.
• Review and adapt activities to changing needs and preferences.
• Support colleagues and assist with induction of new staff.
