Job summary

We Change Lives is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to join Heathside & The Mews Care Homes. You will create meaningful experiences for older people, including those living with dementia, through arts, crafts, music, games and gentle activities.

Responsibilities include planning activities reflecting residents' interests and abilities and leading group and one-to-one sessions. Training is provided; prior care experience is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Caring, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Creativity and confidence to lead group and one-to-one activities.
• Interest in working with elderly people and dementia.
• Full training provided; previous care/activities experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities that reflect residents' interests, abilities and life experiences.
• Lead arts, crafts, music sessions, games and gentle exercise.
• Organise celebrations and community outings for residents.
• Support residents to stay active, connected and engaged.
