Job summary

Handsworth care home in Bowdon, operated by MHA, is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to plan and deliver engaging programmes that meet residents’ social, physical and emotional needs. You will work with colleagues, families and volunteers to help residents stay connected, active and fulfilled, while safeguarding policies are followed and budgets managed.

The role requires creativity, compassion, strong organisational skills and the confidence to use IT tools to support residents’ independence

Qualifications

• Ability to design and deliver group and individual activities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver a programme of activities for residents.
• Promote wellbeing through inclusive activities and IT access support.
• Coordinate with staff, relatives, volunteers and community groups.
• Keep records of activities, attendance and outcomes for care plans.
• Review and adapt activities to changing needs and budgets.
• Support induction of new staff and ensure safety policies.
