Role Overview

As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.

You will plan and deliver engaging, meaningful and person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. Activities will be tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including those who may require a more structured or sensitive approach to engagement.

Building positive relationships is essential, helping you understand individual preferences, behaviours and communication styles to support inclusive participation. You will create a calm, supportive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, confident and connected.

Working closely with the wider team, you will contribute to a consistent and supportive environment, adapting activities where required and responding appropriately to changes in mood, behaviour or wellbeing.

Our Activities Team Why

Our Activities Team ensures every resident at Manor House has opportunities to experience joy, purpose, belonging and meaningful connections, regardless of their abilities or care needs.

The team exists to make every day meaningful, helping residents continue to enjoy the things they love, discover new interests, build relationships and feel valued as individuals.

Through creativity, compassion and a genuine understanding of each person, we bring moments of happiness, connection and fulfilment into everyday life.

Ultimately, our purpose is not simply to keep residents occupied, but to help them live well, feel included and have something to look forward to each day.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, person-centred activities
  • A genuine interest in supporting individuals with complex needs
