Our award-winning client urgently seeks a professional to source a junior engineer to join their expanding team. The Junior Systems Engineer will be responsible for deployment, configuration, and maintenance of systems. The role involves supporting all server-related tasks across the company and collaborating with the lead system administrator and software team on new solution designs.

The ideal candidate will have a senior-level technical background in infrastructure and experience delivering technical solutions.

Position Objectives

The Systems Engineer will handle deployment, configuration, and maintenance of systems, assisting with server-related tasks company-wide and working on new solution designs with the team. A strong technical implementation background in infrastructure and real-world experience in delivering solutions are essential.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Excellent Linux skills across multiple distributions
• Strong scripting skills in BASH or similar
• Some programming knowledge (not necessarily a strong point)
• AWS experience, ideally with a developer or similar qualification
• Experience with other cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure)
• Some networking experience (limited to cloud is acceptable)
• Automation experience with tools like Ansible or GitLab Runners
• No management skills required
• Minimum 4 years' experience, 6+ years preferred
