Linux Engineer – Quant Trading

Quant Capital is urgently seeking a Linux Engineer to join our high-profile client.

The team comprises some of the most talented Linux Engineers, Admins, and Programmers, tasked with building and improving a top-tier platform that supports complex proprietary trading systems. The technology stack includes both in-house and open-source solutions, allowing for deep customization and innovation.

Automation is a key focus; the team automates extensively to reduce human error, and they believe automation should be an enjoyable process.

You will need:

1. Strong background in STEM education, ideally in Computer Science
2. Deep and fundamental knowledge of operating systems, predominantly Linux
3. Fluency with command line and shell scripting
4. Comfort with modern Linux and programming concepts such as C, sockets, virtual memory, etc.
5. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems clearly and effectively
6. Understanding of networking protocols
7. Excellent knowledge of debugging tools like gdb, perf, DTrace, and SystemTap
8. Strong troubleshooting skills
9. Experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell, or other functional languages is a plus
