Senior Linux Engineer

Our client is a technology-driven cloud native service provider. They are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer responsible for the smooth operation of their RedHat-oriented technology stack.

Essential Skills

1. Manage internal and external IT and computer systems including:

• RHEL/RedHat Linux Servers
• MySQL, MSSQL, and Postgres databases
• iSCSI SAN Technologies
• XenServer clustered virtualized environment
• Splunk Logserver
• System monitoring
• Network configuration and management
• Firewall configuration and management
• Microsoft AD and Remote Desktop Services (Windows Server 2019)
• Scripting experience (Bash, Korn, C, Shell, etc.)

Desirable skills include:

• M365/MS Exchange
• Container-based infrastructure (Docker/Kubernetes)
• IP-based phone systems
• Linux certifications
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS)
• Dell server hardware

Daily Responsibilities

1. Maintain the company's disaster recovery infrastructure
2. Monitor key systems to ensure availability and capacity requirements are met
3. Prioritize and schedule I/O tasks
4. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement systems and procedures
5. Ensure compliance with security policies
6. Audit systems to identify issues
7. Ensure systems meet SLAs
