Job summary

The University of Birmingham is inviting applications for three Library Assistant positions at Edgbaston, Birmingham. You will be a key contact for library customers, providing guidance and handling queries within Enquiry Services, Front of House and Stock and Circulation.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent qualification level, or substantial equivalent relevant experience.
• Substantial practical experience of customer support.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support library procedures for borrowing, renewing, returning and reserving resources.
• Maintain services, spaces and facilities; report issues as appropriate.
• Promote customer relationship activities through surveys, feedback and events.
• Assist with user education programmes and promote the Library to visitors.
