Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Sheffield, starting September. You will support students across KS3/KS4 in mainstream and alternative settings, providing classroom and targeted intervention support.

The role involves working with pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs, requiring a patient, resilient and collaborative approach. PAYE pay, 24/7 consultant support and ongoing CPD are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a secondary school, SEND or alternative provision setting.
• Knowledge of SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and targeted intervention support for KS3 and KS4.
• Support students with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Work across mainstream and alternative provision settings.
• Build positive relationships to promote student engagement.
