Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Sheffield to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4, including those with SEND or SEMH needs. The role is full-time from September, offering daily rates of £95–£110 and a supportive onboarding process.

You will work across mainstream and alternative provisions, building positive relationships, promoting engagement, and collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure students access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people within a secondary school, SEND or alternative provision setting.
• Knowledge of supporting students with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach.

We are looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis from September. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, providing both classroom and targeted intervention support. This Level 3 Teaching Assistant role may involve working with students with SEND needs, behavioural challenges, SEMH needs and those requiring additional support to access the curriculum within mainstream and alternative provision settings.

The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children or young people within a secondary school, SEND or alternative provision setting
• Knowledge of supporting students with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
