Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Sheffield to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4, including those with SEND or SEMH needs. The role is full-time from September, offering daily rates of £95–£110 and a supportive onboarding process.

You will work across mainstream and alternative provisions, building positive relationships, promoting engagement, and collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure students access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people within a secondary school, SEND or alternative provision setting.
• Knowledge of supporting students with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 in mainstream and alternative provisions.
• Provide both classroom and targeted intervention support to boost engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning.
