Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner for a primary school in the Harpurhey / Blackley area of North Manchester. We welcome candidates with EYFS experience who can lead activities and support children's development.

Working hours are 37.5 per week with an 8:00am start and some variation in finish times. This is a long-term, full-time role with immediate interview opportunities for available candidates; Aspire People provides

Qualifications

• EYFS experience desirable for leading activities and supporting children's development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with both staff and learners.
• Ability to work independently with groups of children and keep records.
• Experience planning or leading engaging activities in early years.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within Nursery and Early Years.
• Taking responsibility for a group of children as a key person.
• Planning and leading engaging learning activities.
• Supporting phonics, communication and language development.
• Supporting early maths and wider curriculum activities.
• Helping children develop independence and confidence.
• Supporting children with individual learning and development needs.
• Monitoring children's development and contributing to observations.
• Supporting daily routines and transitions.
• Working closely with the class teacher to provide consistent support.
• Contributing to the organisation and development of the EYFS environment.
