Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner for a primary school in the Harpurhey / Blackley area of North Manchester. We welcome candidates with EYFS experience who can lead activities and support children's development.

Working hours are 37.5 per week with an 8:00am start and some variation in finish times. This is a long-term, full-time role with immediate interview opportunities for available candidates; Aspire People provides

Qualifications

• EYFS experience desirable for leading activities and supporting children's development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with both staff and learners.
• Ability to work independently with groups of children and keep records.
• Experience planning or leading engaging activities in early years.

Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant - Experienced Practitioner

Aspire People are currently recruiting an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner for a primary school in the Harpurhey / Blackley area of North Manchester.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have already worked professionally within EYFS and are confident taking responsibility for groups of children, leading activities and supporting children's individual development.

The Role:

• Supporting children within Nursery and Early Years
• Taking responsibility for a group of children as a key person
• Planning and leading engaging learning activities
• Supporting phonics, communication and language development
• Supporting early maths and wider curriculum activities
• Helping children develop independence and confidence
• Supporting children with individual learning and development needs
• Monitoring children's development and contributing to observations
• Supporting daily routines and transitions
• Working closely with the class teacher to provide consistent support
• Contributing to the organisation and development of the EYFS environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Recognised Level 3 Early Years / Teaching Assistant qualification
• Strong previous experience within an EYFS or Nursery setting
• Confident working independently with groups of children
• Experience planning or leading activities
• Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
• Valid Paediatric First Aid
• Calm, nurturing and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and able to commit to a full-time role

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week with an 8:00am start as part of the school's breakfast-club provision.

The role includes some variation in finish times throughout the week and an earlier finish on Friday.

The Opportunity:

This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Level 3 practitioner looking for a new EYFS position within a supportive primary school.

The school is keen to identify suitable candidates quickly and may look to arrange interviews at short notice. Candidates who are immediately available to interview will therefore be particularly well placed to be considered.
