Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a North Manchester primary school on a full-time, long-term basis.

You will support children across the EYFS, deliver engaging play-based learning, assist with communication, early language and phonics, and help develop numeracy and social skills. The role is 37.5 hours weekly with 8:00am breakfast-club start.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Recent experience in an EYFS or Nursery setting.
• Good knowledge of child development.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Confident leading activities with young children.
• Nurturing, patient and consistent approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid.
• Able to commit to a full-time school-based role.

The Role:

• Supporting children across the EYFS environment
• Delivering engaging play-based learning activities
• Supporting early communication, language and phonics
• Helping develop early numeracy and problem-solving skills
• Leading activities with small groups of children
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
• Encouraging independence and positive relationships
• Observing children's development and feeding back to teaching staff
• Supporting individual learning and development needs
• Helping maintain an organised and stimulating classroom
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Recent experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting
• Good knowledge of child development
• Understanding of the EYFS framework
• Confident leading activities with young children
• Nurturing, patient and consistent approach
• Strong communication skills

• Able to commit to a full-time school-based role

The Working Pattern:

The role is 37.5 hours per week and includes an early 8:00am start as part of the school's breakfast-club provision.

Some days involve a later finish, with an earlier finish on Friday.
