A leading education provider in Greater Manchester is seeking a Senior Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 11-16. You will deliver pastoral and SEND support, engage with parents, and address the needs of students facing challenges in learning. This role requires a full-time commitment with work hours from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, starting in September.

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000

As a senior learning mentor, you will provide pastoral support for pupils and assist with their learning. You will work with students with additional needs and barriers to learning. Responsibilities include understanding pupils' needs, engaging parents and guardians, conducting home visits, and delivering initial work packs for students unable to attend school. A proactive and empathetic approach is essential.
This provision caters to pupils aged 11-16 who are permanently excluded or cannot access mainstream schooling. Pupils are referred by schools, academies, or the local authority. The curriculum includes Maths, English, Science, along with therapeutic interventions, cooking, sports, outdoor education, and PSHE.
