Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Learning Disability Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to provide specialist assessment and intervention across community settings, working with people with learning disabilities and their families.

You will be supported by the OT Clinical Lead in Learning Disabilities and MDT colleagues, manage a diverse caseload, travel around Powys, and contribute to service development and governance.

Qualificações

• OT degree or diploma accredited by HCPC
• Hold HCPC registration and maintain CPD
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and legislation knowledge
• Experience in learning disability context is desirable but not essential

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of patients with complex health and functional needs; perform assessments and interventions
• Develop and evaluate treatment plans to maximise independence
• Provide specialist advice on equipment, moving and handling, environmental adaptations, and housing needs
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDT to plan and coordinate care
• Deliver services across community settings including patients' homes and community locations
• Use clinical reasoning and risk assessment for complex needs
• Supervise and support junior staff and OT students
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audits and governance
• Be able to travel throughout Powys as needed
