Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Learning Disability Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to provide specialist assessment and intervention across community settings, working with people with learning disabilities and their families.
You will be supported by the OT Clinical Lead in Learning Disabilities and MDT colleagues, manage a diverse caseload, travel around Powys, and contribute to service development and governance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Specialist Learning Disability Occupational Therapist (Band 6) within Powys Teaching Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide specialist assessment and intervention for people with complex physical, functional and occupational needs across a variety of community settings. You will manage a diverse caseload working with people who have a learning disability as well as working closely with their families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues to support people to achieve their goals, maximise independence and improve quality of life. Whilst previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist within Learning Disabilities is desirable, this is not essential. The successful candidate will be supported to learn and develop by the OT Clinical Lead in Learning Disabilities and there will be with support available from the wider MDT. This service operates weekdays only.
