Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6) for the Intensive Support Team in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves high-quality OT assessments, complex case management and inter-disciplinary work with adults with learning disability and mental health needs.

You will lead on delivering a range of OT interventions, promote participation, and contribute to training and professional development within the service.

Qualifications

• Post-registration experience in relevant clinical setting.
• Experience delivering both individual and group OT interventions.
• Experience with OT assessment tools such as AMPS or similar.
• Experience of working with people with mental health problems and/or learning disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality OT service and consultation to West Hertfordshire Community IST.
• Undertake assessments and interventions with intensive contact as required.
• Advise on OT interventions in current settings and support staff teams.
• Contribute to risk assessment, management plans and safety planning.
• Develop and deliver training to professionals, carers and families.
• Maintain clinical records and supervise allocated OT staff as per policy.
