Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Applied experience in Scala and Java.
• Experience with asynchronous runtimes like Cats Effect.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with validation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency and security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT landscape and practical cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the engineering of cutting-edge solutions in metadata, meta-modelling and distributed systems.
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and security.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value realization.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of software applications.
