Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting for a Senior Lead Carer at a well-established residential care home in St Leonards-on-Sea. You will lead by example, mentor the care team, and ensure outstanding, person-centred support for residents.

The rota totals 42 hours per week across 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1 x 6-hour shift, with a competitive £14.00–£15.00 per hour, paid breaks, ongoing training, and clear progression opportunities. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and ability to mentor a care team.
• Experience administering medication is desirable.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
• Committed to person-centred care and high standards.

What Youll Be Doing

As a Senior Lead Carer, youll play a key role in ensuring residents receive outstanding care while supporting and mentoring the wider care team. Youll lead by example, promote best practice, administer medication where required, and help maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home.

About You

Were looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Senior Carer
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience administering medication (highly desirable)
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
