Job summary

Avon Search is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant for a care home in Blackpool. You will lead by example, mentor the care team, and ensure residents receive outstanding person-centred care.

This 35-hour contract includes weekend shifts on rotation and a competitive hourly rate. You’ll have opportunities for ongoing training and professional development, with a supportive management team and a friendly, inclusive working environment.

Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring residents receive outstanding care while supporting and mentoring the wider care team. You’ll lead by example, promote best practice, administer medication where required, and help maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience administering medication (highly desirable)
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
