Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Landing Gear Dynamics Engineer to join our engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on multibody dynamics modelling, simulation, and analysis across the full lifecycle from concept to customer demonstrations.

The candidate will have a strong background in dynamic systems analysis, using industry-standard tools to assess performance, stability and behaviour of landing gear systems in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Landing Gear Dynamics Engineer or similar.
• Strong background in multibody dynamics modelling and simulation.
• Experience using MSC Adams (Hexagon Adams).
• Proven ability to interpret requirements and translate into models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multibody dynamics models for landing gear systems and assemblies.
• Run dynamic simulations to evaluate performance, loads, stability and behaviour.
• Support design through interpretation of results and engineering recommendations.
• Produce technical reports and verification evidence for requirements.
• Collaborate with systems, structural, mechanical and integration engineers.
• Support design reviews and customer demonstrations.
