Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is expanding its Quality team with a Senior Lab Equipment Engineer. You will own the reliability, performance, and maintenance of laboratory equipment used in semiconductor testing, working to tight deadlines to keep production on track.

This is a role at a global semiconductor manufacturer offering strong rewards, meaningful work, and clear career progression in a Monday-to-Friday daytime shift at Stockport.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or significant experience.
• Experience in a service engineering, maintenance, or test lab environment.
• Proven track record in equipment troubleshooting, system integration, and project delivery in a technical environment.
• Knowledge of characterisation, reliability testing, or surface mount standards.

Responsibilities

• Own preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise up-time and ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
• Define requirements and supporting the integration of new equipment.
• Monitor performance data and delivering measurable improvements in reliability and efficiency.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives with clear, sustained outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining documentation.
• Owning RCA activities (4C/8D), driving actions through to closure and verification.
