Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is seeking a Senior Lab Equipment Engineer to own the reliability, performance, and ongoing maintenance of laboratory equipment used for semiconductor testing. This role requires steadfast adherence to exacting standards and deadlines to keep production in operation.

You will lead maintenance to maximise up-time, diagnose complex issues, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or significant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a service engineering, maintenance, or test lab environment.
• Proven track record in equipment troubleshooting, system integration, and project delivery in a technical environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and/or mechanical and/or software systems.

Responsibilities

• Owning preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise up-time and ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
• Defining requirements and supporting the integration of new equipment.
• Monitoring performance data and delivering measurable improvements in reliability and efficiency.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives with clear, sustained outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining documentation.
• Owning RCA activities (4C/8D), driving actions through to closure and verification.
