Job summary

Nexperia in Manchester/Stockport is seeking a Senior Lab Equipment Engineer to own maintenance and improvement of lab testing equipment critical to semiconductor production. You will diagnose complex issues, support new equipment integration, and drive reliability with data-driven improvements.

The role demands strong fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, and software domains, and offers a clear path for progression within a global semiconductor manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in service engineering, maintenance, or test lab environment.
• Proven track record in equipment troubleshooting, system integration, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise up-time and safety.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in the lab.
• Define requirements and support integration of new equipment.
• Monitor performance data and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Ensure safety standards compliance and maintain documentation.
• Own RCA activities (4C/8D) and verify closure.
