Job summary

Nexperia in Manchester is recruiting a Multiskilled Equipment Engineering Technician to support maintenance on a busy semiconductor fab and participate in proactive maintenance.

You will perform root cause analysis, maintain spares stock, and follow 5S and health and safety directives, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Completed a mechanical, electrical, or multiskilled apprenticeship and educated to a minimum of ONC standard.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic, actuation, or similar.
• Valued industry backgrounds include: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, high volume FCMG, light robotics, military equipment engineering.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance planning and execution to keep equipment at peak performance.
• Carry out maintenance procedures and root cause analysis on diffusion wafer processing equipment.
• Manage spare parts stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety directives while performing maintenance and repair work.
• Analyze data to identify cost-effective maintenance programs that improve KPI performance.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams and external specialists for smooth operations.
