Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is expanding its Quality Lab Engineering team with two Equipment Development Engineers to lead on projects, develop technical capabilities and deliver operational improvements in laboratory equipment used for semiconductor testing.

You will provide technical leadership for equipment development, define engineering standards and best practices, and collaborate with Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing and Product Engineering to drive reliability and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or related.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects and equipment integrations.
• Experience working on automated equipment, instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical expert for laboratory equipment and test systems
• Leading equipment optimisation, integration, and capability improvement projects
• Driving equipment reliability, utilisation, productivity, and cost improvements
• Leading complex technical investigations and root cause analysis activities
• Defining engineering standards, best practices, and technical strategy
• Mentoring and developing engineers across the team
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering
