Somerset Council in Taunton is seeking a Senior Job Evaluation Analyst to lead complex evaluations, provide technical guidance, and support robust, evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.

The role partners with HR, managers, and trade unions to explain processes, improve accuracy, and maintain fair pay across services. Hybrid working options are available, with a focus on consistency and quality assurance.

Formación

• Experience in analysing and evaluating complex roles within a job evaluation framework.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret detailed information and make evidence-based decisions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders and maintain data quality.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on complex and sensitive job evaluations, ensuring decisions are evidence-based, consistent and fair.
• Provide technical guidance and support to analysts and colleagues, helping maintain high standards and consistent practice.
• Review evaluation outcomes and QA processes to identify risks, improve accuracy and support equal pay compliance.
• Work collaboratively with managers, HR colleagues and trade union representatives to explain processes, resolve queries and build confidence in outcomes.
• Help develop and improve job evaluation guidance, standards and ways of working to support the wider programme.
