Job summary

Somerset Council is seeking several Job Evaluation Information Officers to support a major pay and grading programme. You will coordinate information, manage evidence, and work with managers, HR colleagues and trade unions to ensure accuracy and timely evaluation.

This fixed-term role offers a 37-hour week, Grade 13 salary (£26,847–£29,071 per annum), and a supportive team environment within a forward-looking pay and reward function.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex projects, programmes or workloads.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills with ability to review information and identify gaps.
• Excellent communication with managers, employees and trade union representatives.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and activity across multiple job evaluation workstreams to keep the programme on track.
• Review and quality-check evidence for accuracy and completeness.
• Build relationships with managers, employees, HR colleagues and trade unions, providing advice and support.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays and propose practical solutions.
• Produce clear records, reports and management information to support transparency.
